Oriental hosts Business 500 event
November 26th, 2008
Our stylish Oku Champagne Bar hosted the launch of the Sale Sharks 500 Club sponsored by North West Business Insider.
Special guest speaker Rory Underwood MBE spoke to members, sponsors and partners of Sale Sharks at the event attended by over 120 guests. He spoke of his legendary experiences in club and international rugby, his time in the RAF, and his present role as a co-founder of UPH, a high performance development consultancy.
Over champagne and canapés, guests got to meet each other and have a behind the scenes tour of our new luxury hotel.
The Sale Sharks 500 Club is the new way for North West businesses to drive their business forward and show their support for Sale Sharks, with membership levels to suit every business and we at the Yang Sing Oriental are pleased to be a member. We also sponsor up and coming talent Marc Jones - don’t forget to cheer him on against Leicester this Friday.

Yang Sing Oriental opens its doors
July 8th, 2008
Today we open our doors to the public for the first time for a series of launch parties to showcase the new Yang Sing Oriental hotel.
Over the next two weeks, guests to the launch events will be invited to take a tour of the hotel, sip champagne in Oku and trial a delicious range of food produced by Robert Kisby and Harry Yeung.
The hotel will then trial a number of ’sleepovers’ before we start taking bookings towards the end of July 2008.
Hope to see you there.

The duvets are coming!
July 1st, 2008
The last shipment from China is nearly here and we’re all getting very excited.
One of the items currently making its way over by sea is the Oriental silk duvets which are used extensively in the Orient but seldom seen in the UK.
The duvets are the ultimate in luxury – the breathable natural fabric is cool in summer and warm in winter, plus silk is sensitive to skin and naturally hypoallergenic.
Dean has been trying one out at home for weeks and he reckons he’s never had such a good night sleep, but he’s refusing to let us all share!
More than ‘just’ a TV
July 1st, 2008
State of the art technology is a bit of a theme with us – we love it not for it self, but for what it does.
For the tech-geeks, all our rooms come with a state of the art Quadriga Genesis entertainment system.
For the rest of us, this means we can offer a choice of 2500 albums, 25 recent film titles and an extensive Sky TV package with sports - all for free.
KISBY PLATES UP AN ORIENTAL BREAKFAST
June 23rd, 2008
Award winning chef, Robert Kisby, has been busy working on creating a breakfast with an Oriental twist and our mouths are watering with anticipation.
The final fusion menu kicks off with zingy Oriental pink and green melon compotes with jasmine syrup.
And for those who prefer a hearty fry-up to start the day, Robert’s team will also be serving up freshly cooked to order hot plates including butcher, Neil Frost’s delicious hoi sin pork sausage. Hungry, yet?
